As both a bar/restaurant and event center, the team at Old Buffalo & The Outpost had three clear goals: increase visibility from the main road, enhance safety with better perimeter lighting, and introduce the ability to use color for impact and brand expression. Tucked just off a high-traffic area, the location needed lighting that would not only catch the eye but also elevate the guest experience.

Designer’s Perspective

From the start, I was drawn to the original brick facade — full of texture, character, and clean industrial lines. I knew that the right lighting would amplify its charm while giving it a fresh, modern edge. We wanted a design that worked year-round, with a warm white base look that felt elevated, welcoming, and true to the space — but also had the flexibility to play with color when the moment called for it.

Lighting Design Plan

We wrapped the full perimeter of the building with our Gemstone Lighting system-  a smart, low-profile solution that delivers powerful results. With full RGB capability and custom programming, the client now has endless options:

• A warm white glow to complement the brick and create a polished evening look
• Rich, bold color options for holidays, events, and game days
• Even perimeter lighting for added safety and visibility from the road
